ULM
The ULM is an ultra-light aircraft equipped with an engine and whose specific airworthiness conditions are simplified compared to the certification of a light aircraft and subject to an ULM pilot license. At Vauville, the ULM school takes place on a two-seater aircraft suitable for learning motorized flight.
Practical training
The ULM Multiaxes pilot's license is obtained after a theoretical exam and a practical exam.
It is possible to start learning ULM from the age of 15, a medical examination with a general practitioner is sufficient.
Theoretical training
The theoretical training is based on the ULM pilot flight manual. She is accompanied by the instructor as she progresses.
A written exam, taken in a training center, confirms the end of this training.
Practical training
The practical training is provided by our 2 instructors and is carried out in 2 parts:
- Learning the basics of piloting,
- Improvement with aerial navigation.
About twenty hours of flight is necessary for the first phase. About ten hours will be necessary for the improvement.
Initiation flight
The club offers initiation flights in ULM to begin and taste the joys of flight lasting about twenty minutes, its cost is 90 €.
